The sidewalks of Vietnam are packed with small restaurants and food stalls. They had tables and chairs that are oddly child-sized. As we walked around it seemed that people were always eating. So many great chefs on the street.

Hanoi Train Street dates back to 1902. Several trains come through here everyday with tourists waiting for the perfect shot and local cafes providing seats in relative safety and coffee and banh mi.

Love your pix of Tet,, the dragon bridge, and the red bridge. Did you eat from the tiny eating spots outside, which appear very colorful. I like the photo of the dramatic woman all in red in traditional dress. The Train in the middle of the alley looks unsettling but dramatic. I like the restored palace, surely a labor of love. How did we ever get involved in such a peaceful and tranquil land without any reason to go to war …? Thanks you for sharing the photos with me!
